— я ездил calls for some specific preposition following it. If we talk about a car (or a cabriolet), we need the preposition на. Coupled with prepositional case for masculine кабриолет, you should get я ездил на кабриолете (note the -e ending for prep case). Then you need to make sure other parts are connected and agreed. You put a pronoun our (наш) and it has to be agreed here, with its prep form being нашем (masc, singular). At the end you get: Я ездил на нашем кабриолете в Трубадур.
— «With the top down» will not translate well into russian. With the top down will be rather translated as «with a lowered rood» or с опущенной крышей.
— There is a little problem with your last sentence. The verb приготовить is very general and it means to prepare. You need a noun describing the verb after it, i.e. приготовить еду, приготовить проект. So you cannot quite say приготовить и поужинать. You should rather say мы приготовили еду и поужинали дома, or even better мы приготовили ужин и поели дома.
